Maryland High School Soccer - Middletown knocks off Smithsburg
September 19, 2024: Middletown, MD 21769 The Middletown Knights (Middletown, MD) soccer overwhelmed the visiting Smithsburg Leopards (Smithsburg, MD), 6-0 in Thursday's league challenge.
The Knights now hold a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to Williamsport for a Gambrills challenge on Tuesday, September 24. Middletown will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 2-2 league Catoctin (Thurmont, MD). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Smithsburg moves to 0-3 on the year. The Leopards travel to Boonsboro (Boonsboro, MD) to encounter the Warriors in a Gambrills challenge on Monday, September 23. The Warriors go into the challenge with a record of 0-6. Boonsboro lost 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Liberty (Sykesville, MD)
