North Carolina High School Volleyball - Sun Valley over Porter Ridge

September 19, 2024: Indian Trail, NC 28079

In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Sun Valley Spartans volleyball team scored a 3-1 victory over the Porter Ridge Pirates.

The Spartans (12-6) will now prepare for their challenge against East Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC). The Eagles enter the non-league challenge with a 10-5 record. In their last challenge, East Mecklenburg beat Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Pirates meet the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a Southern Carolina 4A challenge, on Tuesday, September 24. Porter Ridge will attempt to upgrade on its 6-6 season record. The Mavericks enter the challenge with a 19-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Weddington (Matthews, NC).
