September 19, 2025: Algona, IA 50511 The Algona Bulldogs (Algona, IA) football knocked off the visiting Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks (Waverly, IA), 28-7 in Friday's non-league contest.
The Bulldogs (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against MOC-Floyd Valley (Orange City, IA). The Dutchmen enter the 3A District 1 contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, MOC-Floyd Valley was toppled by Le Mars (Le Mars, IA), 20-0, in a non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Go-Hawks battle the Mason City Mohawks (Mason City, IA) in a 4A District 2 bout, on Friday, September 26. Waverly-Shell Rock will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Mohawks go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 29-6 non-league win over Marion (Marion, IA).
