The East Ridge Pioneers football squad scored 35 points and limited the visiting Chattanooga Central Pounders to 0 in the Pioneers non-league triumph on Friday.

The Pioneers now hold a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they host Loudon for a 4A Region 3 challenge on Friday, September 26. East Ridge will face a Redskins team coming off a 42-21 non-league loss to Stone Memorial (Crossville, TN). The Redskins record now stands at 2-3.

The Pounders (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Howard Tech (Chattanooga, TN). The Hustlin' Tigers go into the non-league challenge with a 1-3 record. In their last challenge, Howard Tech was ripped by Cumberland County (Crossville, TN), 21-20, in a non-league challenge.
