September 19, 2025: Covington, TN 38019 The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Covington Chargers (Covington, TN) and the visiting Obion County Rebels (Troy, TN), witnessed Covington's football squad wallop Obion County by a tally of 63-8.
The Chargers (5-0) will now prepare for their contest against Ripley (Ripley, TN). The Tigers go into the 3A Region 7 bout with a 0-5 record. In their last bout, Ripley was crushed by Dresden (Dresden, TN), 47-0, in a non-league bout.
The Rebels now own a 3-2 record. They play next when they host Dyersburg for a 3A Region 7 bout on Friday, September 26. Obion County will encounter a Trojans team coming off a 44-6 league win over Bolivar Central (Bolivar, TN). The Trojans record now stands at 4-1.
