McLaughlin Phoenix (Lake Wales, FL) boosters left the game content Friday as they observed their football squad crush the visiting Discovery Spartans (Lake Alfred, FL), 48-12 in a non-league test.

The Phoenix now hold a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Palm Beach Christian Prep for a non-league test on Friday, September 26. McLaughlin will meet a Saints squad coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Mt. Bethel Christian Academy (Marietta, GA). The Saints record now stands at 0-4.

With the defeat, Discovery drops to 0-5 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Tenoroc (Lakeland, FL) to meet the Titans in a 2A District 7 test on Friday, September 26. The Titans come into the test with a record of 1-3. Tenoroc lost 26-14 in their recent non-league challenge against Lake Region (Eagle Lake, FL)
