Kentucky High School Football - Henry Clay thwarted by Dixie Heights
September 19, 2025: Edgewood, KY 41017 Dixie Heights Colonels (Edgewood, KY) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Henry Clay Blue Devils (Lexington, KY), 46-24 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Dixie Heights improves its record to 1-4 on the season. The Colonels travel to Scott (Covington, KY) to play the Eagles in a 5A District 5 battle on Friday, September 26. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 2-2. Scott lost 55-22 in their recent non-league battle against Bourbon County (Paris, KY)
The Blue Devils now have a 0-5 record. They play next when they host North Bullitt for a non-league battle on Friday, September 26. Henry Clay will play a Eagles team coming off a 38-12 non-league win over Doss (Louisville, KY). The Eagles record now stands at 1-3.
