In Friday's non-league game, the Strom Thurmond Rebels (Johnston, SC) football team overcame the host Emerald Vikings (Greenwood, SC), by a tally of 35-13.

In their next game, the Rebels face the Lincoln County Red Devils (Lincolnton, GA) in a non-league outing, on Friday, September 26. Strom Thurmond will attempt to move on its 3-1 season record. The Red Devils come into the outing with a 5-0 record after their 48-14 non-league win over Silver Bluff (Aiken, SC).
