California High School Football - Modoc can't hold off Portola

September 19, 2025: Portola, CA 96122

The Portola Tigers got by the visiting Modoc Braves football team by a score of 27-25 in Friday's non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Tigers play the Los Molinos Bulldogs (Los Molinos, CA) in a Mid-Valley test, on Friday, September 26. Portola will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the test with a 2-1 record after their 58-51 non-league loss to Anderson (Anderson, CA).

With the defeat, Modoc drops to 1-3 on the campaign. The Braves host Fall River (McArthur, CA) to meet the Bulldogs in a Shasta Cascade test on Friday, September 26. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 2-2. Fall River lost 2-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Yreka (Yreka, CA)
