In Friday's non-league match, the host Schaumburg Saxons football squad scored a decisive 49-7 victory over the Vernon Hills Cougars.

The Saxons (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Hoffman Estates (Hoffman Estates, IL). The Hawks enter the Mid-Suburban - West match with a 4-0 record. In their last battle, Hoffman Estates walloped Evanston (Evanston, IL), 24-7, in a non-league battle.

Coming up next, the Cougars confront the Highland Park Giants (Highland Park, IL) in a Central Suburban - North match, on Friday, September 26.
