South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Friday as they witnessed their soccer team get by the host Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes (Wilmington, NC), 2-1 in a non-league test.

The Cougars (3-5) will now prepare for their outing against Whiteville (Whiteville, NC). The Wolfpack go into the non-league outing with a 1-5 record. In their last outing, Whiteville Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC), 0-0, in a non-league outing.
