West Virginia High School Soccer - Jefferson knocks off Buckhannon-Upshur
September 19, 2025: Buckhannon, WV 26201 Fans at Friday's non-league battle between the Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV) and the host Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers (Buckhannon, WV), saw Jefferson's soccer squad knock off Buckhannon-Upshur by a count of 4-1.
The Cougars (3-6) will now prepare for their battle against George Washington (Charleston, WV). The Patriots enter the non-league battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, George Washington tipped St. Albans (St. Albans, WV), 7-0, in a league battle.
Next up, the Buccaneers battle the Brooke Bruins (Wellsburg, WV) in a Two Rivers match, on Saturday, September 20. Buckhannon-Upshur will attempt to move on its 3-7 season record. The Bruins come into the match with a 1-11 record after their 10-0 league loss to Steubenville (Steubenville, OH).
