North Carolina High School Soccer - South Brunswick toppled by Cape Fear Academy
September 19, 2025: Wilmington, NC 28412 Cape Fear Academy Hurricanes (Wilmington, NC) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the visiting South Brunswick Cougars (Southport, NC), 7-0 in a non-league outing.
The Hurricanes (7-5) will now prepare for their outing against Coastal Christian (Wilmington, NC). The Centurions enter the NCISAA Coastal Plain outing with a 10-4 record. In their last outing, Coastal Christian was overwhelmed by John Paul II Catholic (Greenville, NC), 1-0, in a league outing.
Next up, the Cougars confront the Whiteville Wolfpack (Whiteville, NC) in a Southeastern 3A/4A/5A outing, on Monday, September 22. South Brunswick will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Wolfpack enter the outing with a 2-8 record after their 3-2 league loss to West Bladen (Bladenboro, NC).
