With the win, Mumford upgrades its record to 17-12 on the year. The Mustangs host Burton (Burton, TX) to face the Panthers in a 2A Region IV District 25 outing on Friday, September 23. The Panthers go into the outing with a record of 14-20. Burton won 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against North Zulch (North Zulch, TX)
The Panthers now own a 1-9 record. They play next when they travel to Hubbard for a 2A Region II District 14 outing on Friday, September 23. Mart will face a Jaguars squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over La Vega (Waco, TX). The Jaguars record now stands at 8-5.
