The Chase Trojans football team (Forest City, NC), was crushed 63-13 in Friday's non-league bout with the host Freedom Patriots (Morganton, NC)

With the win, Freedom advances its record to 3-2 on the season. The Patriots travel to Hibriten (Lenoir, NC) to encounter the Panthers in a Northwestern 3A/4A bout on Friday, October 4. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Hibriten lost 34-3 in their recent non-league bout against Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC)

The Trojans now own a 0-4 record. They play next when they host East Rutherford for a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills 7 bout on Friday, September 27. Chase will encounter a Cavaliers team coming off a 24-21 league loss to Brevard (Brevard, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 2-3.
