Texas High School Football - Chisum nudges Rains

September 20, 2024: Paris, TX 75462

In Friday's non-league match, the host Chisum Mustangs football squad scored a close 29-27 triumph over the Rains Wildcats.

The Mustangs (2-2) will now prepare for their match against Lone Oak (Lone Oak, TX). The Buffaloes come into the 3A-2 Region III District 9 match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Lone Oak tipped Tioga (Tioga, TX), 41-22, in a non-league match.

Coming up next, the Wildcats confront the Eustace Bulldogs (Eustace, TX) in a 3A-1 Region II District 7 match, on Friday, September 27. Rains will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record. The Bulldogs come into the match with a 1-3 record after their 38-16 non-league loss to Quitman (Quitman, TX).
