In Friday's league match, the visiting Croswell-Lexington Pioneers football squad scored a close 21-17 triumph over the North Branch Broncos.

The Pioneers (3-1) will now prepare for their match against Almont (Almont, MI). The Raiders come into the Blue Water Area match with a 4-0 record. In their last match, Almont tipped Algonac (Algonac, MI), 56-0, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Broncos meet the Richmond Blue Devils (Richmond, MI) in a Blue Water Area match, on Friday, September 27. North Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Blue Devils come into the match with a 1-3 record after their 42-0 league loss to Armada (Armada, MI).
