In Friday's league match, the host Rye Cove Eagles football squad scored a decisive 56-6 triumph over the Thomas Walker Pioneers.

The Eagles (5-0) will now prepare for their match against Castlewood (Castlewood, VA). The Blue Devils come into the Cumberland match with a 0-4 record. In their last match, Castlewood was routed by Lebanon (Lebanon, VA), 46-0, in a non-league match.
