California High School Football - Mar Vista thwarted by San Diego
September 20, 2024: San Diego, CA 92101 San Diego Cavers (San Diego, CA) followers went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the visiting Mar Vista Mariners (Imperial Beach, CA), 31-14 in a non-league battle.
With the win, San Diego advances its record to 2-2 on the season. The Cavers travel to Santa Fe Christian (Solana Beach, CA) to play the Eagles in a non-league battle on Friday, September 27. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 3-1. Santa Fe Christian won 34-16 in their recent non-league battle against Kearny (San Diego, CA)
The Mariners now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Coronado for a non-league battle on Thursday, September 26. Mar Vista will play a Islanders team coming off a 15-12 non-league win over Escondido Charter (Escondido, CA). The Islanders record now stands at 2-2.
