In Friday's non-league match, the Flour Bluff Hornets (Corpus Christi, TX) volleyball squad overcame the visiting Sinton Pirates (Sinton, TX), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Hornets battle the Carroll Tigers (Corpus Christi, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 29 match, on Tuesday, September 24. Flour Bluff will attempt to move on its 21-12 season record. The Tigers enter the match with a 8-13 record after their 3-0 league win over Alice (Alice, TX).
