In Friday's league challenge, the host Gaston Day Spartans volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Gaston Christian Eagles.

The Spartans (9-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Metrolina Christian Academy (Indian Trail, NC). The Warriors come into the NCISAA Metrolina Athletic challenge with a 8-5 record. In their last challenge, Metrolina Christian Academy beat SouthLake Christian Academy (Huntersville, NC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Eagles play the Westminster Catawba Christian Indians (Rock Hill, SC) in a NCISAA Metrolina Athletic challenge, on Tuesday, September 24.
