New York High School Football - Saranac tops Moriah
September 20, 2025: Port Henry, NY 12974 The Saranac Spartans football squad scored 32 points and limited the host Moriah Vikings to 14 in the Spartans league triumph on Saturday.
The Spartans now hold a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host AuSable Valley for a Section 7 test on Saturday, September 27. Saranac will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 14-9 league loss to Saranac Lake (Saranac Lake, NY). The Patriots record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Moriah drops to 0-3 on the campaign. The Vikings host Plattsburgh (Plattsburgh, NY) to play the Hornets in a Section 7 challenge on Friday, September 26. The Hornets go into the challenge with a record of 0-3. Plattsburgh lost 35-7 in their recent league challenge against Peru (Peru, NY)
