New York High School Soccer - St. Anthony's nudges Don Bosco Prep
September 20, 2025: Melville, NY 11747 In Saturday's non-league outing, the host St. Anthony's Friars soccer squad scored a tight 3-2 victory over the Don Bosco Prep Ironmen.
The Friars (7-0) will now prepare for their outing against St. John the Baptist (West Islip, NY). The Cougars come into the NSCHAA test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, St. John the Baptist was tipped by Fordham Prep (Bronx, NY), 8-1, in a non-league test.
The Ironmen now have a 4-2 record. They take the field next when they host Wayne Hills for a non-league game on Thursday, September 25. Don Bosco Prep will face a Patriots team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Lakeland Regional (Wanaque, NJ). The Patriots record now stands at 4-1.
