The Cass Wildcats nipped the visiting Centennial Broncos softball team by a margin of 6-5 in Saturday's non-league battle.

The Wildcats now sport a 4-14 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nebraska City for a non-league battle on Monday, September 22.

With the defeat, Centennial drops to 7-12 on the campaign. The Broncos host Polk County (Stromsburg, NE) to meet the Slammers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 23. The Slammers go into the challenge with a record of 4-13. Polk County won 8-7 in their recent non-league challenge against Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE)
