The Carbondale Terriers volleyball squad (Carbondale, IL), was edged 2-1 in Sunday's non-league battle with the visiting Effingham Hearts (Effingham, IL)

The Hearts (10-6) will now prepare for their contest against Mahomet-Seymour (Mahomet, IL). The Bulldogs enter the Apollo contest with a 14-2 record. In their last contest, Mahomet-Seymour got by Rantoul (Rantoul, IL), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
