Oregon High School Volleyball - Sunset tips Churchill
September 20, 2025: Portland, OR 97229 In Saturday's non-league challenge, the host Sunset Apollos volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Churchill Lancers.
The Apollos (6-8) will now prepare for their test against Westview (Portland, OR). The Wildcats go into the 6A Metro test with a 6-6 record. In their last test, Westview nudged Lebanon (Lebanon, OR), 2-0, in a non-league test.
The Lancers now sport a 4-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Thurston for a 5A Midwestern test on Tuesday, September 23. Churchill will face a Colts squad coming off a 3-2 league loss to Crater (Central Point, OR). The Colts record now stands at 4-4.
