September 20, 2025: Creston, IA 50801 Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Mt. Vernon Mustangs (Mt. Vernon, IA) and the host Creston Panthers (Creston, IA), observed Mt. Vernon's volleyball team top Creston by a count of 2-0.
The Mustangs (10-7) will now prepare for their contest against Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA). The Stormin' Pointers enter the non-league contest with a 15-7 record. In their last contest, Center Point-Urbana notched a victory over Van Meter (Van Meter, IA), 2-0, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Panthers battle the Clarinda Cardinals (Clarinda, IA) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, September 25. Creston will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Cardinals go into the battle with a 15-3 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Tri-Center (Neola, IA).
