In Saturday's non-league challenge, the visiting George Washington Patriots volleyball team scored a close 2-1 victory over the Ripley Vikings.

The Patriots (10-8) will now prepare for their challenge against Shady Spring (Shady Spring, WV). The Tigers enter the non-league challenge with a 19-6 record. In their last challenge, Shady Spring edged Greenbrier West (Charmco, WV), 3-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Vikings meet the Lincoln County Panthers (Hamlin, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 25. Ripley will attempt to upgrade on its 15-6 season record.
