In Saturday's league match, the Vela Sabercats (Edinburg, TX) volleyball squad prevailed the visiting Rowe Warriors (McAllen, TX), by a count of 3-0.

Next up, the Sabercats battle the Pioneer Diamondbacks (Mission, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 31 match, on Saturday, September 27. Vela will attempt to move on its 26-6 season record. The Diamondbacks enter the match with a 26-3 record after their 3-0 league win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest (Pharr, TX).
