Kentucky High School Soccer - Newport Central Catholic overwhelmed by Archbishop McNicholas
September 21, 2022: Newport, KY 41071 In Wednesday's non-league battle, the visiting Archbishop McNicholas Rockets soccer squad scored a close 4-0 triumph over the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds.
The Rockets (5-3) will now prepare for their battle against Carroll (Dayton, OH). The Patriots come into the Greater Catholic Coed battle with a 8-3 record. In their last battle, Carroll nudged Fairmont (Kettering, OH), 3-1, in a non-league bout.
In their next game, the Thoroughbreds battle the Murray Tigers (Murray, KY) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, September 24. Newport Central Catholic will attempt to move on its 11-2 season record.
