The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Roma Gladiators (Roma, TX) and the host Porter Cowboys (Brownsville, TX), observed Roma's football squad bounce Porter by a count of 36-0.

The Gladiators now own a 5-0 record. They play next when they travel to Sharyland for a 5A-2 Region IV District 16 contest on Friday, October 6. Roma will encounter a Rattlers squad coming off a 6-3 non-league win over Mercedes (Mercedes, TX). The Rattlers record now stands at 3-2.

Coming up next, the Cowboys encounter the Gregory-Portland Wildcats (Portland, TX) in a 5A-2 Region IV District 15 contest, on Friday, October 6.
