September 21, 2023: Mt. Vernon, OH 43050 The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets (Mt. Vernon, OH) and the visiting St. Francis DeSales Stallions (Columbus, OH), saw Mt. Vernon's volleyball squad nip St. Francis DeSales by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, Mt. Vernon upgrades its record to 13-0 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Centerburg (Centerburg, OH) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Monday, September 25. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 0-0.
The Stallions now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Bishop Hartley for a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 27.
