In Thursday's non-league contest, the Timberlake Christian Tornadoes (Forest, VA) volleyball squad edged the host New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA), by a margin of 2-1.

Next up, the Tornadoes battle the Westover Christian Academy Bulldogs (Danville, VA) in a contest, on Friday, September 22. Timberlake Christian will attempt to better on its 17-0 season record. The Bulldogs come into the contest with a 4-9 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Chatham Hall (Chatham, VA).

With the loss, New Covenant drops to 6-5 on the campaign. The Gryphons travel to Virginia Episcopal School (Lynchburg, VA) to battle the Bishops in a contest on Friday, September 22.
