North Carolina High School Soccer - Eastern Wayne nudges Ayden - Grifton
September 21, 2023: Goldsboro, NC 27534 Eastern Wayne Warriors (Goldsboro, NC) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Ayden - Grifton Chargers (Ayden, NC), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Warriors face the Princeton Bulldogs (Princeton, NC) in a Neuse Six 2A challenge, on Tuesday, September 26. Eastern Wayne will attempt to better on its 4-5 season record. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Union (Rose Hill, NC).
The Chargers now have a 0-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to SouthWest Edgecombe for a Eastern Plains 2A challenge on Monday, September 25. Ayden - Grifton will face a Cougars team coming off a 5-2 non-league win over Southside (Chocowinity, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 1-4.
