The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the University Christian Barracudas (Hickory, NC) and the host Statesville Christian Lions (Statesville, NC), saw University Christian's volleyball squad nip Statesville Christian by a tally of 3-2.

With the win, University Christian upgrades its record to 5-6 on the year. The Barracudas travel to Davidson Day (Davidson, NC) to play the Patriots in a NCISAA Piedmont Triad bout on Thursday, September 28. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 15-1.

The Lions now own a 10-4 record. They play next when they host Liberty Preparatory Christian for a non-league bout on Friday, September 22. Statesville Christian will play a Patriots squad coming off a 3-0 league win over HOPE Academy (Concord, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 14-1.
