The Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) football tipped the visiting Mt. Hope Huskies (Bristol, RI), 10-7 in Saturday's league outing.

The Chieftains now sport a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Cranston East for a Division III outing on Saturday, September 28. Ponaganset will clash with a Thunderbolts squad coming off a 13-6 league loss to Pilgrim (Warwick, RI). The Thunderbolts record now stands at 0-2.

With the defeat, Mt. Hope drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Huskies host East Greenwich (East Greenwich, RI) to clash with the Avengers in a Division III outing on Friday, September 27. The Avengers come into the outing with a record of 1-1. East Greenwich won 19-2 in their recent league outing against Central Falls/Blackstone Valley Prep/Achievement First (Central Falls, RI)
