Illinois High School Football - Lyons thwarted by Glenbard West
September 21, 2024: LaGrange, IL 60525 Glenbard West Hilltoppers (Glen Ellyn, IL) fans went home in high spirits Saturday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Lyons Lions (LaGrange, IL), 21-6 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Glenbard West improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Hilltoppers host Leyden (Franklin Park, IL) to play the Eagles in a non-league battle on Thursday, September 26. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 1-1. Leyden lost 14-12 in their recent non-league battle against Bartlett (Bartlett, IL)
The Lions now have a 0-2 record. They play next when they host Proviso West for a non-league battle on Saturday, September 28. Lyons will play a Panthers team coming off a 27-12 non-league loss to Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.
