Pennsylvania High School Soccer - Girard knocks off Wilmington
September 21, 2024: Girard, PA 16417 The Girard Yellowjackets soccer squad scored 7 points and held the visiting Wilmington Greyhounds to 1 in the Yellowjackets non-league victory on Saturday.
The Yellowjackets now possess a 8-1 record. They play next when they travel to Harbor Creek for a non-league bout on Wednesday, September 25. Girard will play a Huskies squad coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Mercer (Mercer, PA). The Huskies record now stands at 7-3.
With the loss, Wilmington moves to 4-6 on the year. The Greyhounds host Grove City (Grove City, PA) to play the Eagles in a District 10 Region 2 bout on Monday, September 23. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 9-0. Grove City won 6-0 in their recent non-league bout against Franklin (Franklin, PA)
