September 21, 2024: Fairfield, CA 94533 Fans at Saturday's non-league contest between the Merced Bears (Merced, CA) and the host Vanden Vikings (Fairfield, CA), observed Merced's volleyball team hold off Vanden by a count of 2-1.
The Bears (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against East Union (Manteca, CA). The Lancers enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, East Union got by Mountain House (Mountain House, CA), 2-0, in a league contest.
Next, the Vikings battle the Pioneer Patriots (Woodland, CA) in a contest, on Monday, September 23. Vanden will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Patriots enter the contest with a 3-5 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Twelve Bridges (Lincoln, CA).
