Wisconsin High School Soccer - Gonzaga nudges Marquette University
September 21, 2024: Milwaukee, WI 53208 In Saturday's non-league outing, the visiting Gonzaga Eagles soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 win over the Marquette University Hilltoppers.
The Eagles (6-0) will now prepare for their outing against St. Mary's Ryken (Leonardtown, MD). The Knights enter the Washington Catholic (WCAC) outing with a 3-4 record. In their last outing, St. Mary's Ryken Paul VI (Chantilly, VA), 1-1, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Hilltoppers confront the Brookfield Central Lancers (Brookfield, WI) in a Greater Metro outing, on Tuesday, September 24. Marquette University will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Lancers enter the outing with a 1-5 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Pewaukee (Pewaukee, WI).
