September 21, 2024: Mankato, MN 56001 Mayo Spartans (Rochester, MN) boosters exited the stadium pleased Saturday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Mankato East Cougars (Mankato, MN), 4-2 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Mayo moves its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Spartans host Century (Rochester, MN) to clash with the Panthers in a Class AA Section 1 test on Tuesday, September 24. The Panthers come into the test with a record of 5-3.
The Cougars now sport a 6-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jordan for a non-league test on Monday, September 23. Mankato East will clash with a Hubmen / Jaguars team coming off a 4-0 non-league win over St. Peter (St. Peter, MN). The Hubmen / Jaguars record now stands at 5-3.
