Iowa High School Volleyball - St. Edmond can't get by Gehlen Catholic
September 21, 2024: Fort Dodge, IA 50501 Gehlen Catholic Jays (Le Mars, IA) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they saw their volleyball squad edge the host St. Edmond Gaels (Fort Dodge, IA), 2-1 in a non-league test.
With the win, Gehlen Catholic improves its record to 7-4 on the season. The Jays host Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn (Hartley, IA) to face the Hawks in a non-league test on Tuesday, September 24. The Hawks go into the test with a record of 4-8. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn won 2-1 in their recent league test against Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire (Ruthven, IA)
The Gaels now own a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bishop Garrigan for a test on Saturday, September 21. St. Edmond will face a Golden Bears squad coming off a 3-1 league loss to North Union (Armstrong, IA). The Golden Bears record now stands at 1-9.
