New York High School Soccer - St. John the Baptist toppled by Fordham Prep
September 21, 2025: West Islip, NY 11795 Fordham Prep Rams (Bronx, NY) backers exited the stadium pleased Sunday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host St. John the Baptist Cougars (West Islip, NY), 8-1 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Fordham Prep advances its record to 1-1 on the campaign. The Rams travel to St. Francis Prep (Fresh Meadows, NY) to clash with the Terriers in a CHSAA test on Tuesday, September 23. The Terriers come into the test with a record of 10-2. St. Francis Prep lost 1-0 in their recent non-league test against Chaminade (Mineola, NY)
The Cougars now have a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host St. Anthony's for a NSCHAA bout on Tuesday, September 23. St. John the Baptist will encounter a Friars squad coming off a 10-2 non-league loss to Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, NJ). The Friars record now stands at 2-1.
