September 22, 2023: Brandon, MS 39232 Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Brookhaven Panthers (Brookhaven, MS), 41-19 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Northwest Rankin improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Pearl (Pearl, MS) to confront the Pirates in a 7A Region 3 test on Friday, October 6. The Pirates come into the test with a record of 5-0. Pearl won 44-28 in their recent non-league test against Germantown (Madison, MS)
With the loss, Brookhaven drops to 3-4 on the campaign. The Panthers host Lawrence County (Monticello, MS) to confront the Cougars in a non-league test on Monday, October 2. The Cougars come into the test with a record of 2-3.
