Illinois High School Flag Football - Maine East thwarted by Wheeling
September 22, 2025: Park Ridge, IL 60068 Wheeling Wildcats (Wheeling, IL) boosters were content Monday as they observed their flag football squad thwart the host Maine East Blue Demons (Park Ridge, IL), 25-0 in a non-league match.
The Wildcats (3-7) will now prepare for their match against Barrington (Barrington, IL). The Fillies/Broncos come into the match with a 11-4 record. In their last match, Barrington defeated Huntley (Huntley, IL), 25-19, in a non-league match.
Coming up next, the Blue Demons meet the Niles West Wolves (Skokie, IL) in a challenge, on Wednesday, September 24. Maine East will attempt to improve on its 0-7 season record. The Wolves go into the challenge with a 0-10 record after their 23-21 non-league loss to Regina Dominican (Wilmette, IL).
