Minnesota High School Soccer - Mankato East knocks off New Ulm
September 22, 2025: New Ulm, MN 56073 Fans at Monday's league battle between the Mankato East Cougars (Mankato, MN) and the host New Ulm Eagles (New Ulm, MN), saw Mankato East's soccer squad prevail over New Ulm by a count of 5-1.
The Cougars (9-2) will now prepare for their battle against Albert Lea (Albert Lea, MN). The Tigers enter the Class A Section 2 battle with a 3-4 record. In their last battle, Albert Lea Mankato West (Mankato, MN), 0-0, in a league match.
The Eagles now sport a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Tri-City United [Montgomery-Lonsdale/Le Center] for a non-league match on Tuesday, September 23. New Ulm will meet a Titans team coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to St. Peter (St. Peter, MN). The Titans record now stands at 3-4.
