The Alton Redbirds smashed the visiting University City Lions soccer team by a tally of 6-1 in Monday's non-league game.

Next, the Redbirds clash with the Belleville East Lancers (Belleville, IL) in a Southwestern game, on Tuesday, September 23. Alton will attempt to improve on its 5-7 season record. The Lancers go into the bout with a 1-7 record after their 3-0 league loss to Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL).
