The Poplarville Hornets volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Columbia Wildcats to 0 in the Hornets league triumph on Monday.

The Hornets now have a 15-7 record. They play next when they travel to McComb for a Class 4A Region 7 outing on Tuesday, September 23. Poplarville will play a Tigers team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Columbia (Columbia, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 7-7.

With the loss, Columbia drops to 5-11 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Lawrence County (Monticello, MS) to confront the Cougars in a Class 4A Region 7 game on Tuesday, September 23.
