North Carolina High School Volleyball - Copper Basin over Hiwassee Dam
September 22, 2025: Murphy, NC 28906 Fans at Monday's non-league contest between the Copper Basin Cougars (Copperhill, TN) and the host Hiwassee Dam Eagles (Murphy, NC), observed Copper Basin's volleyball team top Hiwassee Dam by a count of 3-0.
The Cougars (8-5) will now prepare for their contest against Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences (Chattanooga, TN). The Patriots enter the A District 4 contest with a 21-6 record. In their last contest, Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences notched a victory over Notre Dame (Chattanooga, TN), 3-0, in a non-league contest.
Next, the Eagles battle the Andrews Wildcats (Andrews, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, September 25. Hiwassee Dam will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record. The Wildcats go into the battle with a 8-8 record after their 3-1 league loss to Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC).
