In Monday's non-league challenge, the host Yankton Bucks/Gazelles volleyball team scored a 3-0 triumph over the Vermillion Tanagers.

The Bucks/Gazelles (4-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Lincoln (Sioux Falls, SD). The Patriots come into the AA District 1 challenge with a 7-3 record. In their last challenge, Lincoln beat Pierre T.F. Riggs (Pierre, SD), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Tanagers play the Beresford Watchdogs (Beresford, SD) in a A Region 4 game, on Thursday, September 25. Vermillion will attempt to advance on its 5-10 season record. The Watchdogs go into the game with a 7-9 record after their 2-1 non-league win over Vermillion (Vermillion, SD).
